SEO and Keywords

The ability to rank in organic search will become the most important contributor to your blog post’s performance over time. Your blog post will appear in search results when someone searches for a keyword on Google or other search engines. To rank well, a blog post that is optimized for a keyword should answer the searcher’s intent. If your keyword was “devops tools”, you would write a detailed article telling searchers how to locate, pick, and use these tools.

These are some guidelines to help you choose a keyword.

You can use a tool for researching search volume for your keyword. Google Keyword Planner, Keywords Everywhere.

Pick a keyword that is not too competitive. These keywords are often the shortest, such as “hire.” Think instead about how your blog posts answer a longer query such as “how to hire the right candidate.”

Conditions for the guest posts:

Here are our main criteria for guest posts:

  • The article must be related to topics mentioned above.
  • 100% original content only, never published anywhere.
  • Minimum 1200 words, extra kudos for 2000+ word articles.
  • Posts have to be well-researched and practical.
  • Optimize your post for a keyword with search volume
  • Every claim needs to be backed up with a link to a data or case study confirming it.
  • Break up your copy into readable/scannable chunks. Use subheadlines, bullet points, and numbers lists when possible, and break up paragraphs that are longer than 5-6 lines on a Google Doc.
